Greater Cleveland Football Association All-Star teams chosen | Sports & Recreation

The Greater Cleveland Football Coaches Association drafted 80 graduating high school seniors on Wednesday at the Browns’ training facility. These players will form the East and West All-Star teams and participate in the 40th annual Cleveland Clinic Sports Health Cuyahoga County East-West High School All-Star Scholarship Football Game. The two teams will face off on Friday, June 15 at Don Shula Stadium on the campus of John Carroll University in University Heights, Ohio at 7:00 p.m. The East All-Stars will be coached by Scott Wodtly of John F. Kennedy High School while Joe Zombek of Lakewood High School will coach the West All-Stars.

All proceeds from the game will support the scholarship fund of the Greater Cleveland Football Coaches Association. The uniforms for both the East and West All-Star teams were donated by the Cleveland Browns. Each player will also wear official Browns game pants and socks during the contest. In addition, both squads will hold their final practice and team activities at the Browns’ indoor practice facility in Berea.
